  • 7 = (4 + 2 + 1) = Read + Write + Execute

So 755 gives read + write + execute to anyone who is a registered user. That’s not ideal.

Next, take a look at the permissions for the following files:

  • index.php
  • wp-login.php
  • wp-blog-header.php

These files should have a permission of 644.

9. Too many users with admin privileges
